Study Club: Intraoral Scanning and How it is Used in Your Office

Address: 3701 Wilshire Blvd., Ste 520, Los Angeles, CA 90010

With the new advancements in digital scanning along with the different types of materials for restoring teeth and dental implants, the process of planning and creating restorations using digital technology can be overwhelming. There are many variables to consider when trying to achieve an esthetic result with a stable occlusion using digital technology.

During this study club, Dr. Geach will discuss his experience transitioning from analog to a completely digital workflow. We will also discuss how to apply conventional treatment planning principles and clinical tips to the digital process. Simple and complex cases will be presented to highlight these points.

Objectives:

  • Apply conventional principles to the digital process
  • Review the digital workflow for crown and bridge restorations
  • Review the digital workflow for implant restorations
  • Create highly esthetic restorations using digital technology
